Chapter 4

I wake up the next morning and immediately get dressed (which is not that easy) and then yell out to my aunt and uncle.

"I'm going for a walk.  Be back soon!"

I am hoping Liam is out for another walk.  I call for Brandy and I am off.  I walk out the door, going probably a little too fast.  For the second time in two days I crash into a hard figure.

"Whoa.  Where are you off too so fast on this lovely morning?"

"Liam?" I ask hopefully.

"In the flesh."

Did he really come back here to see me?

"Why are you here?" I ask.

"Well I was hoping I would be able to have the honour of taking you out for breakfast." he laughs.

"Really?  That's so nice of you.  Let me just go tell my aunt and uncle." I smile.

"I'll be waiting."

I go inside and call out for my aunt.

"Aunt Sarah!"

"Yes honey?" she calls back.

"I forgot to tell you.  Yesterday when I went out for a walk I ran into Liam Payne from One Direction!  He's back this morning and he want's to take me out for breakfast!" I say as fast as I can so I can get going.

"Oh wow, really?  That's amazing sweetie.  Well have fun." she calls.

"Thanks aunt Sarah."

I leave Brandy at the house and just take my stick with me.  I walk out the door and Liam immediately links arms with me.

"Such a gentleman." I laugh.

We arrive at the cafe and have an amazing breakfast.  We talk, and talk.  He is such a nice guy.

When we arrive back at my house Liam walks me up to the door.

"Maybe sometime you could meet the rest of the boys.  I'm sure you would all get along really well."

"I'd love to.  Thank you for breakfast Liam." I smile.

"It was my pleasure."

As I reach out for the door knob I feel Liam take my hand and pulls me into a hug.  As we are pulling away I feel him slightly kiss my cheek.  I blush, and at that moment, for just a fraction of a second, I thought I saw some light.  Light, for the first time in weeks, I thought I saw something other than complete darkness.  But I must have just been dreaming.

We say our goodbyes and I stand on the door step for what feels like forever, just replaying what happened in my head.

All through the day I only think about one thing... am I falling for Liam Payne?  I cannot even see him, I do not know if he is even cute or not.  But just the way he talks, and the kind things he does makes me feel a way I have never felt before.  Maybe he is not be good looking on the surface, but I can tell one thing.  He has a beautiful heart.
