Void

Void

A Poem by Rochelle Tyler

There must be a cold air
that fills the absent hole
where your heart once was.

It helps me understand
the reasons you searched
for warm bodies to lie next to
when my one
was not enough.

But all the flesh in the world
could not calm your chills
because you only collected
from me.

Drawing the energy out of me,
like a black hole,
taking it to dimensions too impossible
to discover.

Leaving us both
cold, shivering, searching
for protection.

Not finding each others bodies
adequate enough
to provide the warmth
we both search for.

Hey, this is really good work.
Just a minor point, maybe more powerful emotive words could be used? Just a suggestion.
Other than that, the message you sent was really chilling.
You really wrapped it up nicely.
Good work!
