LIFE SUPPORT

LIFE SUPPORT

A Poem by Goddess Kenyatta
"

When you suffer from a broken heart, life sometimes no longer has the same meaning

"

I hear the sirens blaring, In the distance I see the lights;
Paramedics rushing to me in the attempt to save my life;
I lay in a puddle of blood from a self-inflicted wound;
Staring into space, willing my spirit to leave the room;
I can feel my heart beat slowing, my pulse beginning to die;
Let me go, let me go, leave this cruel world behind;
I'm off to the hospital, admitted into ICU;
I no longer have the desire to live, so there's nothing the doctors can do;
I'm comatose, mentally retreated into me;
So I can hide from the monster that lurks in reality;
I don't want to feel, i don't want to breathe;
Let me pull the plug so i can leave behind misery;
what happened to me, where did my life go wrong;
I lay in such a weakened state when I used to be so strong;
But my heart is done, my emotions have fleed the scene;
So Here's this machine, supporting a shell of a human being;
I cry to myself, i'm damaged and time is no longer on my side;
Who I was is gone, so I pray i never open my eyes;
