Head Rush

Head Rush

A Poem by R. Ellison
"

Real, or all in your head?

"

Spinning, arms thrown wide

Outrace your fears

Your doubts

Your anxieties

Erase your senses

Your vision

Your pain

Colors, jumbled, flash by

Friendly smiles and grins whirl past

Voices giggle and laugh as they send you

Faster, around again

Spinning, still faster, ferociously hugging yourself

A seamless blur of noise and color

Blot out all but the spinning

Until you are thrown

The world still spinning frantically about you

Vision useless, too many colors

A gentle touch

A soft word

The sun is warm
