Gula, Acedia

Gula, Acedia

A Poem by R. Ellison
"

Parts five and six of a seven part set.

"

Gula

I satisfy my pallet

With a myriad of excellence

Delicacies of reknown cushion my girth

Eye my holding and I shall strike you

Beat you off like the cur you are

Away from my elegance

Acedia

I care not for your words

Your trials

Your fears, woes, joys or tidings

Leave me be

All shall fade

You do not concern me

Wonderous. So few words yet so many emotions. Poetry, in itself, a metaphor.
