Hey there old friend,
We've had major ups and downs
you've hated me,
then I hated you.
This is not my fault,
I didn't do this
I miss you
we fought like a married couple.
We are only young,
when I get told "I love you."
I haven't a clue what to say,
I never try and not feel the same way
you have a place deep in my heart.
I miss you.

to miss someone close then feel a hole in the heart, a painful realization,
to know those people that are cherished are the same people who can
also come against us, such is human nature, it helps understanding grow
in perspective, you capture the longing emotion well, great poem ^_^
