Childhood snowfall

Childhood snowfall

A Poem by Missy Moooooo

Hiding behind snow mounds three times bigger then us
covered with a thick white coating,
while I danced with the guy I loved once upon a time
those hidden moments are forever treasured.

Eventually balls of white found us,
whacking us down, our faces filled with snow;
easily our faces danced with smiles
we called it fun,
I now call it Childhood.

Things should have changed
but only our age changed,
nothing keeping us from
doing it all over again.

The rest is a faint distance
I don't remember much
about my childhood.

These are moments
where I am glad to say,
I do remember.

Author's Note

Missy Moooooo
Basically this poem was written walking in a blizzard, I remember in 2004 there was a huge blizzard that lasted for a week or so and it left piles of snow and kept snowing. I wrote this poem remembering.
We used to play SnowManhunt-that's what we called it. We could only get tug from snowballs. Me and a friend who secretly was more, (But we were kids) used to hide together, in the woods. Holding hands whispering, behind snow mounds.

And now they demolished the woods and ruined our childhood, so I remember it this way.
