Generations

A Poem by MissieLuna

I grabbed your hand just to have it ripped away,
Falling fast from the hope that keeps me sane.
You say you love me,say you care,
But turn your back when I really need you there.
Tell the others you did all you could,
Pretend that you were nothing short of good.
Torment my heart until it's ripped to shreds,
And fill the empty space with only dread.

You can't save me,You can't save yourself,
You drag me down into your self-created Hell,
Broken fragments is what we used to be,
And in the end there's only demons in me.
They rip me open until there's nothing left,
And secretly I won't wish for death.

So discreetly you watch me stitch my scars,
But in the end you say I won't go far.
You wear the mask, your mother taught you well.
Well just remember Dear,we all go to Hell.
Your self-created won't compare,
You can't escape with that f*****g pathetic prayer.
I'll drag you with me until hope ceases to be,
And show you all the demons you created in me.

We sink deeper into obscurity,
Losing every trace of our humanity,
Know I never wanted it to be this way,
But nothing I could say would make you stay.

And now I know you can't save me,You can't save yourself,
You drag me down into your self-created Hell,
We're broken fragments of what we used to be,
And in the end there's only demons in me.
