No more

No more

A Poem by MissieLuna

Ever so discretely,
Deep inside I know you'll miss me,

Because it happened once before,
The day you called to say you loved me once more.

You said one day we'd be wed,
Married in black and red.

Well I already live a boring life,

So who wants to be your wife?

I've got dreams and ambitions,
And becoming your wife is not my mission.
So f**k all your lies,

I'm breaking my ties.

If all the other birds can fly,

Why can't I?

I only wish to be free,

Are you too blind to see,
I can't make you complete?
Don't think anyone can ever accomplish that fete.
Let's face it you're lonely,

It's eating you slowly,

But I'm not your salvation,

So excuse my hesitation,
I need to be free,
There's just too much to see.
And ever so discretely,
Deep inside I know you'll miss me,
Because it happened once before,

But I'm sorry to say I love you no more.
