The Night Gladiolus

The Night Gladiolus

A Poem by MissieLuna

Sweet Flower,Sweet Flower..

All the sweet nothings you've said,

Have painted such beautiful images in my head.

They bloom like flowers to cover my sight,

With such a dark sweet fragrance that fills my night.

I wish to keep every touch,

So confused if its love or lust.

And now your poison irritates my heart,

You watch as its reactions tear my sanity apart.

And though I love you so,

I know I must let you go,

Or catch my death within your sea..

But this spicy fragrance just fills me with need.

My dangerous enamoring flower will you ever see,

All the damage you can truly do to me?

Like an addict without a care,

I wish, pray, and beg or you to be there.

To hold me as tightly as your words that now smother my heart,

To kiss me so tenderly just like in the start.
I've become so entangled in this love that's a lie,

For you've spun such a beautiful web to catch this fly.

If only,If only, this love were meant to be,

But my darling you had to leave me.

And now I rot in your bittersweet memories,

Oh darling what was your reasons for bringing me misery?
If you change your mind and ask me to stay,

I promise each day to take your breath away.
