Mother

Mother

A Poem by MissieLuna
"

Wrote this a few years ago after a falling out..

"
If you were here I'd say I'm sorry,
'I didn't mean to make you worry.
And though we can't take back what's been said,
I really miss all we had.
When I first fell you picked me up,
wiped the tears from my face and said chin up.
I always thought you were so strong,
Never thought you could go wrong.
And I know nothings perfect,
I just wish that I was worth it.
And like a spoil child I just couldn't let go,
Holding so tightly it's taking it's toll.
I've been away for so long,
Feels like decades since we went wrong.
If I had known you were falling too,
I could have said these words to you.
The sky may fall, the stars may burn,
But we'll stand tall,Just watch and learn.
The stars may die,And we may cry,
But with every lesson,There is a blessing.

I'd stitch your cuts and never let go,
But these are the thing you'll never know.
And if you were here I'd say I'm sorry,
But I was always thankful someone worried.
And though we can't take back what's been said,
We both know it's for the best.
