Listen carefully because I have the all important answer, to the question that has plagued the minds of geniuses and idiots alike; What is the meaning of life? One day there is no-one, then the next day you exist, birthed, breed, civilized, categorized, and just as pointlessly as you’d arrived you depart. Of course there are tears and sweet words from love ones, but a single humans birth or death creates no real dent in the perseverance of the world. The answer is simple, there is no meaning to life; no definition, no point.
Whole civilizations have come and gone leaving no more than traces of their existence; and aside from a mention in history books, or the raping of some land to reconstruct distorted conceptions of those who came before; the average person really doesn’t care. The reason that society even continue to thrive is out of shear boredom. Darkness was boring and uneventful so we discovered fire, fire bored us so we harnessed electricity; electricity jaded us so we manipulated sound; sound under-stimulated us so we philandered with invisible air waves; and so forth and so on until our boredom circumvented mother nature.
We ourselves don’t even value human life; not the lives of other and surely not our own. I can name over twenty things that I have personally done to my body to speed up the eventuality of death. I’m sure you, as you read this blog, can think of a few lapses in judgment that will inevitably shorten your time here on earth: drinking maybe, smoking, stress, unhealthy or excessive eating, risky intercourse, liaisons with unsavory characters. Hell, we justify the imprisonment, torture, and even murder of other individual, with an eye for an eye rationalization; peering through blind eyes at human life in the name of justice or societal debt. Our blindness allows us to build and brandish weapons for the sole purpose of extracting life, and these weapons are used just as coarsely as my description of them.
And to the bible thumpers, the extreme jesus freaks who believe that God gives meaning to life, and is the reason we live and die. Why would the greatest entity in the known world, create beings to live and die freely, but already have their lives planned for them? Why would he ask us to live, laugh, and love; but already know the who’s, what’s, and where’s. Why would he give us the option to believe and live by him, but already know we won’t and hone in as we waist away into a Christian-less death. I believe, ( and yes I do believe in him)the man upstairs is just as clueless as the rest of us. He’s simply sitting on his thrown hoping for the best of us humans, but already expecting the worst without a simple known fact as to why he created us, other than to watch the telenovela of “La Vida de Jacqueline” unfold before him at 7pm/8pm central.
If there was true meaning to life, a reason why we are born and why we die, then how is that with the advance of technology we have become capable of duplicating life? How is it we can build new limbs, or organs, or breath for those who couldn‘t breath before? How is it that we can defy death. More so ironic how is it that we can now design life. If we want a little girls with blond hair and blue eyes, well she can be engineered. Engineered what a lack luster way to describe creation of life. But then again, that’s life.
Well even if people disagree with what you wrote here, you wrote this well, and made a good enough impression for people to react at all.
You stated many great points, and your overall point comes across clearly with the use of great details and descriptions.
I liked when you compared our living to a soap opera and we have no real purpose besides entertainment for Him. Although, ofcourse, i dont agree with this, i liked how you said it.
Overall, there are some spelling/grammar errors, but its written well. It definitely provokes emotion for people to scream about. good job there.
I could argue my viewpoint and say that i dont agree with your opinion, but i wont even go there. lol
