Stars

I look at the stars, they're shining to me,

My smile grows with every one I see.

They're too far for me to hold,

But close enough so I can see them glow.

They're spots of light in the dark night sky,

I make a wish to the ones that fly.

They look like they're dancing, shaking so lightly,

A beautiful dance while twinkling so brightly.

I wish they were closer, so their beauty was more clear,

But I use the gift happily, to see them from down here.
