Water

Water

A Poem by Miss Lillian
"

This poem developed from an exercise set in a creative writing session.

"
So smooth a surface, until disturbed,
A touch or whisper no one heard,
The action taken maybe small,
But ripples out from wall to wall.
As dark as night within your depths
Created by tears that hundreds wept.
Upon the surface turquoise shimmers,
A home for life, a place for winners.
Never ceasing hidden wanders,
Upon your bank I'll sit and ponder.
