Christmas CasualtyA Poem by Miss IscariotA poem I wrote when I was 12...She walks to school, a bulge under her top Flinching whenever past her drives a cop A gun stolen from her father's collection Just another step in the wrong direction No-one notices when she walks No-one notices when she talks They're all too involved in their godamn lives They don't see her when she finally arrives She takes her seat like she does everyday Ignoring the comments of 'freak' and 'gay' She knows what she is destined to do To show them what they've put her through So she pulls out the pistol, grasps the trigger Points it at her head as eyes grow bigger All the screams seem to come from a distance Yet no-one tries to stop her, to show resistance So she shuts her eyes, blows her brains out She didn't have a chance to stop and doubt And now her body lies still on the ground With a bloody halo round her head like a crown The saddest thing is no-one will remember The suicide committed that fateful December A christ-less Christmas to be had by all Yet everyone will have forgot by fall This poems for those contemplating suicide For those who's hopes and dreams have died All those who can't stand it anymore Don't do what I did or who I did it for You may think the easiest way out is in a hearse But believe that and it will just get worse Reach deep inside your hollow heart Tear that thing of stone apart This may just seem like a stupid rhyme But it saved my life when you wouldn't save mine. © 2011 Miss Iscariot |
