The World WindA Poem by Miss FedelmI'm not sure what this means.
The World Wind
The world wind blows, And patterns change, And minds inspect the new regime, But do not really see the now. We see what's been, And what could be, But miss what's here today to see, The things that do exist. We find a past to fit today, Subjective stories stored away, In rows of bins within the mind, Which hold the things our feelings find, But rarely what was there. And we don't see the future well, We think we do, but time will tell, That most predictions don't come true, We tightly cling to those that do, As this enables us to feel, That we can see what comes. We use remembered fantasy, To form a view of what will be, Extrapolate from what was not, The fiction of our future lot, And all the time refuse to see, The present, which is real.
