Alice Beware.

Alice Beware.

A Poem by Reanna King

This is not the life for the faint hearted
I’ve started fighting before it even started
Pale, mute, lost in wonderland
I am not the hatter,
but don’t I look mad?
This twisted mask looks so happy,
So pristine
So Fresh faced, so Young
So Jealous? Don’t be
“I’m really quite content.”
I’m a liar, I’m a loser,
I’m dying.

I’m the new cancer,
never looked better
Can you stand it?
Its my name,
my Date Of Birth and my location
Categorized, Alphabetized
On a clear glass shelf,
Displayed like a freak show,
Tell me your sorry,
lie to my face,
Tell me I’ll make it
I can see through you like lace.

Wow. I really love this. The only critisism I have is that one line where it says-
"I've started fighting before it even started" I would change it to- "I began fighting before it even started" Just so it flows better. Thats just my personal opinion, though. It was still really good.
