Suburbia

Suburbia

A Poem by Reanna King

I want to live in the times of the unbroken heart,
Where stars and dreamers go
I want to sail on an unsinkable ocean
And go wherever, till the tides go low

In this land we would be beautiful,
Noticed and not erased.
More than silent echo’s off broken glass
Our world would show true feeling,
Like the dark shadow of a mountain face

In our deepest absence,
Pain will still never enter our moonstruck picture
We will build sand castles in the air,
and let our burdens sail away
without a charge or cost
no bills or layaways

Free at last, At last free.
Love is truly all we need
The clouds shield the dreamers
From the protruding sighs,
Sighs that break people, and make babies cry

There my boat would sail,
My nirvana, my suburbia.
Forever in tune with winds sudden sway
My sail will take me there, and there I shall stay

At a certain point, this piece was going to win the chapter of the tournament, the first-impression of this poem is beyond good!

I think your style has a lot of promise and is highly readable and with a contemporary charm rare to find these days.
