My Best FriendA Story by Candy PaloozaMy best friend's a little different than most peoples'. Wanna know why? Keep reading! Many people have best friends. Most
sing, dance, share secrets, and practically live their entire lives together.
They can get mad, fight, and be best friends again in two days or two months.
In the end, people will always forgive. Like most people, I, too, have a
best friend. But this best friend is unlike any best friend you’ve ever seen
before. He has no true home, name, or even appearance. He’s a friend to
everyone, even though he isn’t always supported by the type of society we live
in today. Most people believe in his ways, but the occasional person can be
completely oblivious to how truly great my best friend is. You might be asking yourself, “Why
would someone not believe in another person? What is there to not believe in
him?” All very good questions, but I’m afraid that the answers aren’t always
easy to come by. My best answer: not all people believe in the same things. We
all think differently; that’s just how we’re made. But I must admit, my best
friend has done some pretty miraculous things that are pretty hard to believe. What kind of “miraculous things”
has he done, exactly? He has done some things that you couldn’t even do in your
dreams without his assistance. HE has helped people split seas and free
mistreated slaves. All by himself, he created this very world, flooded, gashed,
cracked, and healed it again. He made a place for Earth’s inhabitants to go
after their time on Earth has passed. He joined the earth’s quantity, and
washed away all peoples’ sins when he left. He loves everyone, even the ones
that don’t love him back. It sounds pretty strange, doesn’t
it? I understand, because when I learned about him, he didn’t sound real, not
in the slightest. More like something a person would have a dream about. But
after awhile, I began to believe " and later trust " in him. He began to become
part of my daily life, and it was almost like I could feel him walking along
beside me with every step I took. My best friend " as I’ve said " doesn’t
have an actual name, so I just call him God. Every tear I’ve cried, every hug I
thought I desperately needed, he was there for. He’s there even when I doubt
that he is. From God, I’ve learned that even
enemies should be accepted as friends. “Love your neighbor as yourself,” he
once said. After all that I’ve been through, it’s clear that he can do
anything, - with His help " so can I. © 2013 Candy Palooza |
