Black Sheep

Black Sheep

A Poem by Monica Taylor

Since I was little I have stood alone
a little black sheep in white clothes
just wanting to fit in
be comfortable in my own skin
I can't wear white clothes you see
white stains when all my colors bleed
all the sheep stare and laugh
I run away in back lash
facing them I'm always loathing
but I'd rather be a black sheep
than a wolf in sheep's clothing
