CurvesA Poem by LizI am too a real woman. These curves on my body, Where my sunken eyes Dip Into my skull. Where my lips pout, Where my shallow jaw Sinks. The small muscles in my arms My thick, Strong legs, Bowing in and out. My ribs, Always poking through Are as curvy as they get. My hips that are hills on my torso. My body is a landscape Full of dips and bumps. So before you Deny my womanhood, Before you take my right To be loved, Remember that I Am just as “Curvy” As you. © 2012 Liz |
