Judgement

Judgement

A Poem by Liz

"You're so lucky"
He says,
And I can't help but snort.
It's this worn-out principle,
This statement of fact,
Shoved into our brains from childhood.

Grass is greener
Walk a mile in their shoes
Don't judge until you know.

"Lucky."
Once a compliment,
Now an insult.
We are all so keen on being
Misunderstood.
