Moths

Moths

A Poem by Liz
"

This is silly.

"
There's nothing scary about them, really.
Flapping around,
Hitting bulbs,
Windows,
My hair.
What's so terrifying about that?
They're only moths.
Only little insects,
With hairy legs,
And buggy eyes.
And ugly brown wings.
They're not hurting anybody.
"Don't be so scared of them,
They're smaller than you are."
Yeah,
Well,
Guess what?
So are
Grenades.

Haha, you really describe things very clearly, and in a simplistic way. It is a great way to attract readers. But looking past the simplicity, the subtlety of your write is something to behold, too.
"They're only moths.
Only little insects,
With hairy legs,
And buggy eyes.
And ugly brown wings.
They're not hurting anybody."
The matter of fact way with which you make your hatred clear to the reader is really good.
The conclusion is good too, but the penultimate stanza seems a bit too "common" for me.
Anyway, this is a very good write once again. Good work.

This one is cool. It was similar to your other poems and had a great ending. It really says a lot, and very simply too. You seem to be able to take a situation and really bring the reader outside of it in a witty way. Great piece. Thanks
