Fallen Angels

Fallen Angels

A Poem by Miss Lissa
"

This is my interpretation of ongoing, unnecessary, cold blooded killing that goes on every second here in our own country. Mothers crying, people dying, but yet the very ones saying it should stop are the ones with a gun ready to retaliate, WHY?????????

"

PT. 1

WHEN THE BULLET PIERCED YOU SKIN
YOU BECAME LIFELESS
MUCH LIKE AN AUTUMN LEAF
AFTER A COLD FALL WIND
PLUMMETING TO THE GROUND
MY MIND BECOMES SOUND
MY ACTIONS WERE LOUD
THE CRY OF YOUR MOTHER POUNDS
AND MY LOVE FOR YOU DROWNS
INTO THE ABYSS OF NEVERENDING SORROW

PT. 2

AS THE TIME PASSES BY
MY BELOVED ONES DIE
LIVES TOO YOUNG
LIVES GONE TOO SOON
LIVES THAT STARTED
IN THIER MOTHERS WOMB
FALLEN ANGELS ALL AROUND ME
IN THIS GHETTO TOMB

PT.3

FALLEN ANGELS
MOTHERS CRY
WILL THEIR KISSES
REACH THE SKY
IN THESE GHETTO STREETS
THEIR SOULs DO FLY
BUT WHY NOT HERE
BY OUR SIDE
WHY DID MY PARTNER
HAVE TO DIE
I SCREAM IN THE NIGHT
WITH A NINE ON MY SIDE
