Chapter 39 [Kris]

Chapter 39 [Kris]

A Chapter by Isabella Ballman

I walk up to Aimee’s door. I ring the doorbell and no one answers. D****t… I need to apologize for what happened. I knock at her door a couple times and wait. No one comes. I try to open the door, and it’s unlocked. Huh. I go in.

“Hello?” I say, “Is anyone home?”

No one answers, but I do hear something. It sounds like… someone moaning? Weird. I open the door to Aimee’s bedroom.

“Kris! What the hell are you doing?” Aimee yells. She’s under the covers by herself. She looks sweaty and kind of gross. Her hair is purple and sticking out of her head from every direction.

“I wanted to talk. What are you…?” I trail off when I see it. There’s a shape moving under the covers. Like… between Aimee’s legs. What the f**k is wrong with her!

The figure crawls up and pops up over the sheets. It’s a girl. She’s hot.

“This isn’t the best time!” Aimee says, blushing.

“I see that now! Who are you?” I say, directing my question to the girl sitting next to Aimee. She has black thick hair, that’s wavy and soft looking. Her eyes are blue grey and her lips are full.

“She’s Thea. Thea, this is Kris. He’s the guy I was telling you about.” Aimee says.

“The guy you said you didn’t like?” Thea asks. “Hi Kris!”

“Hello Thea.” I say, in an annoyed voice. “How did you ladies meet?”

“We’re old friends!” Thea says cheerfully. “I… just died.”

“You seem like pretty good friends.” I say. Thea wipes her lips.

“Get out for a second Kris.” Aimee says. I roll my eyes and leave the room, closing the door. She comes out like a minute later with a tank top and short shorts.

“What do you want?” She says.

“I wanted to talk about what happened.” I say.

“What happened? What are you talking about?” Aimee says.

“Aimee, come on. When we hooked up.” I say, self-consciously.

She laughs. Out loud. In my face.

“What the hell are you talking about Kris? That never happened!” She says.

Wow, I get it. She’s trying to blow it off, like it never happened.

“Really? Dude, you’re mature.” I say, my voice rising with anger.

“Kris! You’re hilarious.” She says back. She doesn’t seem like Aimee right now…

“Whatever man, I’m leaving.” I say. I rush out of the house.

I mean, I know that I didn’t like her and all, but what if I did? If I walked in on her with… whatever that b*****s name is, I would be really hurt! Does she have any mother f*****g respect for me? Does anybody here have respect for me? People just seem to do what they like and only what they like here. F*****g selfish a******s. I hate this place. I walk home, furious.

There’s a knock at my door. I roll my eyes and answer the door. It’s Charlotte. She wraps her arms around my waist and hugs me, crying.

“I broke up with Kale, Kris.” She says through her sobs. My once hanging arms move around her, and I hold her. We stand there, just on the inside of my house, my door still wide open. It’s hot out there, and cool inside my apartment.

“Come inside.” I say, because I can’t think of anything else.

I usher her inside the house and close the door. We both sit on my couch. She’s not wearing any make up, and she looks adorable. I take her smaller, soft hands in mine.

“Tell me what happened.” I say, looking her straight in her beautiful green eyes.

“I caught him cheating again. I was feeling to bad before Kris… about what you and I did together. But Kale does it all the time! I decided I was done for sure this time with him. It’s you I want.”

I gulp nervously. She smiles through her tears, grabs my jaw, and kisses me with her soft lips.

         I love this place.
