This is Who You Are

This is Who You Are

A Poem by MissKatiekat

Close the door.
Sink to the floor.
Shut your eyes.
Start to cry.
Your hands are shaking.
Your whole body is aching.
Your mind is racing.
Your fears you're not facing.
You've gone on so long,
Trying your hardest to be strong.
You said no to drugs.
Turned away with a shrug.
Denied your wrists the blade.
And watched your scars fade.
But tonight you can't take it.
It's like a bottomless pit.
So you'll give into the pain.
All your work was in vain.
Because this is who you are.
A disease, a drug, a scar.
