Haunted.

Haunted.

A Poem by MissKatiekat
"

Very deep, and personal.

"
You haunt my dreams, thoughts and memories, each and every single one of these.
They all scream out your name, and bring my heart so much pain.
I hate how it's been over a year, since I first let you near.
Near my mouth with a handful of death, you almost drowned me, I took one last breath.
I went to sleep, and didn't wake when she shook me, only then did they realize, only then did they see.
That the smile was fake and the blood had moved, my mouth had spilled lies and my soul was bruised.
They screamed and they cried and they rushed down the road, but kept this to themselves, no one was told...
I woke to broke lights, and knew I was still in the fight.
They told me what happened and asked me why? Why would I do this, just why? All I could give was one complete lie.
It's been over a year since the first time I tried, then 2 more times and many more lies.
I've come very far, and I've learned many things. Among them that life is more than diamond rings.
It hurts and it burns and it's not always fair, all it takes is just a pair,
A pair of thoughts, just one would do. One thought to send you to a "beautifully tragic" doom.
But it's a doom that you want, and one that you prayed for. One that would leave you cold on the floor.
The most important thing that I've learned, that keeps me alive, despite the yearn.
Is that life is all in your head, you don't have to stop breathing to be dead.
