A Writer's MindA Poem by MissEpic2902Fervent scene's running through my mind For novel's whose name's i have yet to find They run around in a constant rewind Editing themselve's until I feel I can call them mine A writer's mind is a busy place Not just an open space It is filled with idea's so lively they could be their own race Scene's and idea's written on paper Scene's I edit to make my character's safer Filling my notebooks to the brim Finding new paper is a task always grim Pencil to paper, lead staining the page I write this poem on a bumpy ride in a yellow rectangluar cage Dreading the day that's inevitable to come I feel the bumps in the road, like the beating of drum I've quite lost my original topic As I near the school I think it toxic I'm going to have to exit into the school hallway's thrum My heart in my chest is beating like a bongo drum It's hard to stop my fervent writing Since as I walk toward the door's it's school I'm spiting. © 2012 MissEpic2902Author's Note
