Evilest of Evil StepmothersA Poem by The Tea Party Mouse.Another poem written for school about Mary Tudor. This time it is from her perspective, having to deal with Anne Boleyn as a stepmother.Beguiling smile, dainty neck And eyes black like pitch Thou art an opportunistic vulture Swooping in like a fairy-tale witch Driving a wedge between the King And my mother, now once a Queen I see my father won’t acknowledge me You are poisoning his mind He used to be nothing short of loving I recall he used to be kind Now a b*****d, I have no father Worse still, I cannot see my mother A shrieking brat takes my place Beady black eyes, just like yours No more title, I am only called Lady Elizabeth’s nanny; I do the chores Till’ one day, my mother grows cold The sickness creeps in and takes its hold Hurrying and scurrying to her room The true Queen just barely dead I am crying, paying my last respects You, you are stealing her jewels instead Wait. Leave her cross, please Whatever would you want it for Oh, because you love to hate me But I’ll always hate you more Mary Tudor, Princess © 2010 The Tea Party Mouse.Author's Note
