In this home no evil will tread

Nightmares don’t materialize

Those things only live in your head

 

Fear not the darkness, mother said

Listening and straining your eyes

In this home no evil will tread

 

Only in movies, eyes shine red

Ghosts don’t (from under your bed) rise

Those things only live in your head

 

Feel safe when alone in your bed

Zombies and ghouls, those are just lies

In this home no evil will tread

 

 Werewolves don’t lurk behind the shed

 Vampires don’t cry out at sunrise

Those things only live in your head

 

 

If anything, pity the dead

Their only friends are rot and flies

In this home no evil will tread

Those things only live in your head
