Surrender

Surrender

A Poem by AudreySee
"

You cannot always win the battles you choose.

"
Like Sisyphus rolling his rock up the hill,
You are bound to ever succeed then fail.
Try as you may, to push with all your might
The rut only deepens, night by night.
So lie yourself down and let fate roll its doom,
Bury your face in this sodden tomb.
No one will be there to say good bye,
As you go gentle into that good night.

I like how you pull this off with Sisyphus... the mythology in this write... the passage to surrender is clearly stated... and no reason to go farther from the truth of it all...
