Penmanship

Raven sliced quill art, so delicate and antique,

Smooth (It must have been plucked from the hides

Of gun powered eagles in time for Thanksgiving).

(It) drips tiny dew drops as from a cracked porcelain glass

Of Bordeaux ink blotches seeping one-by-one-by-one;

Swirled in calligraphy style penmanship – ancient Mongolian symbols -

Such intricate details (Did you know you were an artist

Of hallucinations?). Padded walls cannot contain your design of twirling letters

Up-Down-Up - just one more tango with Rs and Ss, if you dare . . .

Passion chares the edges, just a smudge of poison and ink, sealed with an apple kiss,

Signed in ebony devotion, Anonymous, and bound deep within Black Sea parchment.

Sealed-licked-tasted with tiny saliva buds of hushed lust – love – together and separate

(A letter carved upon sand – lest the words shatter into prism shards)
