Poor steeple-seeker,

Bowing before glass Mary’s,

Pleading saintly grace . . .

 

thou art no more than. . .

nor higher in holy rank . . .

just a disgraceful . . .

 

Dour genuflecting

Mannequin, trying to find

Salvation in stone!

wow! first read of you and this is what i get. a fantastic little gem. a powerful cut to the oftentimes cold ritualistic and misplaced devotion that organized religion demands.

genius! i really personally envisioned a jaded saint looking down from heaven tsk tsking at the wasted energy.
