Prima Donna

Prima Donna

A Poem by 水希

Twirling round and round the dancer goes
Tied to invisible strings called destiny
Many come to see the show
None wish for her to be free
She never resists, and continues to spin
Around with no hope, again and again
A smile on her face, but tears in her eyes
The audience applauds roaring and loud
The curtain closes as she bows
And immediately she falls to the ground
Her ankles shackled and wrists chained
She never wished for this costly fame

Hello, I guess. I'm 19. I write mostly dark and deep poetry, but I'm not averse to other genres. Reviews are cool. I take criticism well. I don't mind talking to others, so that's okay too. I like art.. more..
