Self-Inflicted Misery

Self-Inflicted Misery

A Poem by 水希

I let my walls down
And you came flooding in
I tried to fake apathy
But I failed to pretend
That you meant nothing to me

  Never again will I fall
Never again will I crawl
I'll get back on my feet
Rather than live
In self-inflicted misery

Every time I see your face
I never know what to say
Behind the smile are clenching teeth
You broke my heart
Now I'll make sure yours never beats

  Never again will I fall
Never again will I crawl
I'll get back on my feet
Rather than live
In self-inflicted misery

  You were insincere
And lured me in
Just to knock me down
Is this your sick idea of fun
My hearts not a circus
And you're not a clown

  I'll make sure you suffer
I'll make sure you crawl
I'll show you what you did it me
In self-inflicted misery

About
Hello, I guess. I'm 19. I write mostly dark and deep poetry, but I'm not averse to other genres. Reviews are cool. I take criticism well. I don't mind talking to others, so that's okay too. I like art.. more..
