In Regard to Samhain....

In Regard to Samhain....

A Poem by Miss Mary Jane

Under the darkening sky,
our voices joined, are heard.
The chant, the drum,
the sound of dancing feet.

Merry Meet and Merry Part again.
We are all Their children.
God and Goddess, mother and father.
The fire, and the cauldron.
We do know.

We all come from you.
We return to you.
Like all seasons,
Like all elements.

Flowing to you.
Flowing to you.

The dreams fall like dying embers.
This is a dream that we caught and prayed to.
All it's seams torn now,
the veil at it's thinnest.

We will see one another once more.
When the sky does turn black,
and the moon does rise.
To be held in the Pagan night....

You really show the celebratory side of the holiday in this, with the drum-like rhythms and the promise of seeing loved ones again. Happy Samhain to you!
