A Wish

A Wish

A Poem by Miss Mary Jane

Hear the forest grow around you.
Like memories cut by seams.
This was your dream,
to live an to breathe lost in your hills.

But you are alone now,
the man long gone, with his red shoes on.
Left to your words, to your gods, and forests.

Wild woman, come to your window,
see the world unfold.
Learn what it is to be alone, but fulfilled.
Forget about the past, because if it was meant to be.
It would have had the strength to last.

You will overcome this,
dance in your woods, sing to your
skies, find your voice, your words once more.
Instead of witnessing all your scattered memories on the floor.

Remember, it was only a wish,  sealed with a lover's kiss.

IF there were a forest as enchanting as the words you reveal here I would surely love to be a witness to it. This has such a magical appeal to it, glittering in fact with light, subtle bursts of passion. You convey in a way that brings attention to growth. A pleasure.
