We'll Take You Down

We'll Take You Down

A Poem by Miss Mary Jane

Running through sunshine, with laughter surrounding me.
Memories, painful, beautiful.
I release you, mislead you.
I've lost my way back to the garden.

Thrown to the depths of the sea, weighted.
I'm drowning, held down by hands, a thousand eyes.
A thousand stupid white lies.
We will take you down.

Away from you precious hills,
away from the things that complete you.
Broken wanderer in search of the great star.
In the eyeless night which still sees.

Those monsters, with their painted faces.
Their enchanting, enticing sighs and smiles.
Claiming you.

We will take you down.
