Shine On

In memory of Joshua Mitchell Duve(May 26,1989-May 16,2009), a very good friend, that I had lost touch with. Listening to "The Moon," by Cat Power, bawling my eyes out.

I hope that sky that you are in,

Holds you close now.

I hope heaven is where you went,

and that you know God's love now.

The phone call, saying that you had

taken your life, oh the moments we

shared, how they floated by.

Like castles destroyed in her mind's eye.

The moment she heard of your death.

I hope that Moon shines down on you.

I hope that you shine down on us too.
