Hush

Hush

A Poem by Miss Mary Jane

Hush, hush, sleep my love.

Into the night you hear the mad men.

Spewing their insanities, on and on.

Till there is nothing else, but what they say.

You, the child, has rotted away.

Passed on from one to another.

Like the hamster on it's wheel,

thinking that it's one more step to freedom.

You'll never move foreward, you'll stay in the rut.

Now, hush, hush, said the angel from above.

I loved this!

You'll never move forward, you'll stay in the rut.

Beautiful wording. You have talent.

Wonderfully written. It has a dark feel to it, and such depth as well. Beautiful poem.
