Away In Wonderland.

We sat under the vacant sky,

singing together in unison.

Just me and my closest friends.

Like a small tribe, we were.

 

The stars fell from the sky,

and they shot across.

Not like it is in the city.

Out here it is truly pretty.

 

We played games that we

had abandoned in our childhood.

May not be usual but oh so natural.

Smiling, laughing, the night we thought

would be neverending.
