Girl

Girl

A Poem by Miss Mary Jane
"

Hmm have you ever listened to the Beatles version of "Girl," granted the one from the across the universe is good but the beatles is so much better. If you listen to that song and read this you'll hear the beat.

"

The days are up,

and the nights are down.

I find our scattered pictures

mingling and speaking

on the floor.

Your guitar is gently weeping

and my eyes have lost their meaning,

as neither of us will

touch the door.

Perception isn't seeing and it keeps

telling me we're dreaming,

That soon this will all fade.

I love the second verse so much. It's so pretty and it like half-rhymes & I love how the last line of the second stanza rhymes with the last line of the first. Not sure if that was intentional or not, but it was a nice touch.^^; I'm kinda a sucker for rhyming poetry. >___

There are a lot of different interpretations this poem could take on and I like that. The lines are strong and I like the flow. Great write.
