City Poetry: City

City Poetry: City

A Poem by Miss Mary Jane

Sights and sounds,
In the soul of downtown.
People laughing,
People passing,
These empty yet full streets.
The last memory of a dream.
Etched into the skyline,
Mismatched buildings.
Some old, Some new.
Money pressed into their hands,
Pills pressed into my mind.
Here there is no meaning,
Here there is no time.
In the soul of the City.

About
My name is Mary Jane, I'm just another character brought on to you by the gods. I believe in mystical adventures to heighten the passion of life. I like to go out into nature and worship pagan deities.. more..
