Final Bow

Final Bow

A Poem by Misfits Girl

The time remains standing
Frozen in place
As the world lights up slowly
Revealing my pale face

They didn’t see it coming
Because she never spoke a word
She never felt important
She never could be heard

The day was over slowly
They all had their separate lives
Things were moving fast for them
So they never found the knives

It took them weeks to notice
That she was now not there
It took them seconds to realise
They never really cared

She took her time pretending
That things were never wrong
She let them always think
She was happy with a song

She let them go around
Not aware that she was dead
Already taken from her soul
Right across her bed

She took her final moment
To try and write it down
She struggled over the rhyme
And worked on it with a frown

It didn’t really matter
She wasn’t plain to see
There was nothing they could do for her
Goodbye to you from me
