A Poem by Misery

Racing to find truth to what I thought she meant
I left, yet she's ahead
I regress on a road that I don't know yet
Enlightenment, Happiness and Comfort are far beyond my reach and my tank is running dry
So to try and think of nothing, because that might be all I know; I speed against a busy lane
Searching for a way to gain something I might not have yet
Praying that with each passerby someone might consider taking a part of me
A doubt that weighs me down
A sight that's foggy at best
And a love that's much too painful to have
Racing towards the end is a lonely road to self destruction
So I'll regress
