Personality: Hikaru is a rather perverted individual, as well as reckless He is a professional writer, yet pays really no heed to deadlines as he should, and is very childish. While he does give off this mature and dignified air about him, deep down he is nothing but a child.

He writes Boys love (BL) novels as well as other books. His BL novels used to be of Shane's brother Elliot and himself. As he began molesting Shane, they soon became about Shane and himself.

He on a regular basis "teases" Shane, also contributing to the whole mega perv thing.

He can also seem rather rude at times. Like when he doesn't want Misaki to talk to his senpai or does not want to mess with his editor who loves his BL novels.

However, Shane's view of him is constantly changing between two perspectives. There is the kind side of Hikaru, who Shane adores very much, and the usual side of him which is not only overbearing and overprotective, but arrogant and controlling.

It is said, by Hikaru's father, that he was a fragile child growing up, who would much rather distance himself from others, more than likely due to the fact that he absorbs people's words and actions towards him more than he should. And it can still be said of him up until he had met with Shane.

History: Hikaru is a 28-year-old popular author of fiction and erotic BL (Boys' Love) novels, and the youngest recipient of the distinguished Naomori Award. Hikaru is Shane's tutor for the upcoming entrance exams, and a very close friend of Elliot (he, in fact, harbored an unrequited love for Elliot for a long time). He and Elliot were childhood friends. Shortly after meeting Shane, he finds that Elliot has gotten engaged. Seeing how upset this makes Shane on Hikaru's behalf, Hikaru realizes that he loves the younger boy and the two become lovers.

 

[History and Personality found on a wiki site for Usami Akihiko. So, the idea of the character was mine, the explanation for both was not mine.. Er, you get the picture. ^_^;;]
