Freedom

Freedom

Freedom (Rhyming Practice)

Kick me while

I’m down again,

Let me become your slave

With no objection to pain.

Gain all the trust

I’ve never had to give,

Dealing it away day by day,

And soon l’ll have no will to live.

Bought lock, stock and barrel,

Reality took away my voice;

Year by year l’m left

Without a choice.

Set me free once more,

Just let me go,

And someday, sometime,

I’ll find the strength to let you know.

Don’t kick me while l’m down again,

I won’t become a slave

With no objection to pain.
