a Difference

a Difference

A Poem by Lilly

… and for the first time, in a long time

She no longer felt like a broken clock, useless

She no longer felt like a broken wing, worthless

Every wound.  Healed

She felt like a star ready to shoot

She felt like an ending-life ready to end

…she made a difference in someone’s world

Someone called her their miracle.

I feel like that now! What a shining star this little girl like the boy even; and how we forget this feeling of elation when we bury such feelings as though we should be ashamed of them. How could we ever be ashamed of feeling like the end of the world should be here and we should rocket into space, with a feeling of celestial divinity?
