Metaphores of the Night

Metaphores of the Night

A Poem by Mirrl
"

A Poem about the dark an the beautiful. None can exist without the other.

"

Metaphors of the night

Brendyn O’Donnal

Silent was the black night sky

As she blanketed the sleeping earth

The moon keeps the shadows back

And the stars give the sky its worth.

The soft wind blows through the tall grass,

And the ocean waves pass, running fast.

The night goes on with its silent nature

The shadows hide its evil feature.

For everything beautiful there is a horrible,

Things get ugly and less adorable

Things

Creep,

and

Crawl around

Myths and monsters like the bloodstained hound!

Doors are locked and windows are

Shut.

No one trusts there brother

No one trusts one another

Greedy people fill the rafters

Filling the air with Fat, Ugly Laughter

Liars are writing there next black chapter

For everything horrible there is a beautiful

Silent was the black night sky

As she blanketed the sleeping earth

And the moon keeps the shadows back

And the stars give the sky its worth

The way this unfolds and then the details of the scene...and you do repeat the lines in the end to give us a feel of this verse...
