DreoganA Story by MirlinA short drabble just to see how the site works x3
It is only a myth, Arthur. A story told by people who fear the creature.
You as a knight should know better and ignore those stories! Your
courage shouldn't be affected by fairy tales.
Arthur remembered the words of the king clear as glass, but he couldn't believed a single word of it. He was, just like many others, someone who still believed those stories. Stories about the creature in the cave. A creature born out of magic, with the power to burn down complete villages with its fire breath. Dreogan was what they called it. Dreogan an ancient dragon that lived in the cave for hundreds of years and never came out. Arthur stood, in front of the said cave of Dreogan. Fulfilling his task to get a specific plant that could only be found within Dreogan's cave. He was no hero, nor was he a gatherer. He was trained to fight human, not dragons. If this dragon really excisted -what he believed- than he wouldn't come out alive. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He couldn't refuse the task his king gave him. He would be a disgrace only because his king didn't believe in the dragon. Arthur stared quietly into the cave. He searched for all the courage that he could find within himself and drew his sword. Hopefully he was lucky enough not to meet with the dragon. With that thought he stepped into the cave, not sure if he would ever see daylight again. © 2012 MirlinAuthor's Note
